For Jon, technology is not just a field of expertise - it’s a language he speaks intuitively. His diverse background - from electrical engineering to computer science and behavioral economics - combines precise analytical thinking with a deep curiosity. This very combination makes him a central figure at profitize.
Jon’s professional journey is anything but ordinary. He began studying electrical engineering at the University of Plymouth and later switched to Aston University, where he studied computer science and truly found his calling. He pursued a master’s in Computational Intelligence in Vienna, but soon worked at the Vienna University of Economics and Business in behavioral economics.
Afterwards, he spent several years as a Python team lead (Python is a highly versatile and popular programming language), developing a technical platform before moving into hotel technology - a step that ultimately led him to profitize.
Only few know this: a song produced by Jon once aired on BBC Radio One - the UK’s main radio station. And even more? With his former band, he reached the finals of a Europe-wide band competition, performing on the stage of London’s O2 Arena.
Jon is our ETL architect: he builds the systems that collect data from various sources, process it, and transform it into valuable, structured information.
His daily work involves connecting new data sources, improving existing pipelines, or solving complex problems to ensure hoteliers get the precise, fast, and reliable data they need.
