His diverse background - from electrical engineering to computer science and behavioral economics - combines precise analytical thinking with a deep curiosity. This very combination makes him a central figure at profitize. ‍ ### **An unusual career path - and why it’s so valuable** ‍ Jon’s professional journey is anything but ordinary. He began studying electrical engineering at the University of Plymouth and later switched to Aston University, where he studied computer science and truly found his calling. He pursued a master’s in Computational Intelligence in Vienna, but soon worked at the Vienna University of Economics and Business in behavioral economics. Afterwards, he spent several years as a Python team lead (Python is a highly versatile and popular programming language), developing a technical platform before moving into hotel technology - a step that ultimately led him to [profitize](https://www.profitize.io/?hsLang=en). ‍ ### **Hidden talent? Music that makes waves** ‍ Only few know this: a song produced by Jon once aired on BBC Radio One - the UK’s main radio station. And even more? With his former band, he reached the finals of a Europe-wide band competition, performing on the stage of London’s O2 Arena. ‍ ### **What he does at profitize** ‍ Jon is our ETL architect: he builds the systems that collect data from various sources, process it, and transform it into valuable, structured information.
